This Community Standards and Prohibited Activities Policy establishes the conduct expected from users of Zexus services, including ZexusPro and ZexusAuto.
It applies to clients, Pros, buyers, Dealers, inspectors, delivery providers, representatives, visitors, and other users.
This Policy forms part of the Zexus Master Terms of Service and User Agreement and the applicable marketplace rules.
1. Our community standards
Zexus is intended to be a trustworthy, transparent, respectful, and safe environment.
Users must:
- Be truthful.
- Act in good faith.
- Treat others respectfully.
- Communicate clearly.
- Honour accepted transaction terms.
- Keep listings and profiles accurate.
- Protect confidential information.
- Use approved payment channels.
- Cooperate with verification.
- Provide evidence honestly.
- Report safety, fraud, or abuse concerns promptly.
- Comply with applicable law.
Users must not use Zexus to deceive, exploit, threaten, harm, defraud, or unlawfully obtain an advantage over another user.
2. Identity and account integrity
Users must:
- Use their true identity or authorised business identity.
- Provide accurate account information.
- Use only accounts they are authorised to access.
- Keep account credentials secure.
- Update information when it changes.
- Complete requested KYC or KYB processes.
Users must not:
- Impersonate another person or company.
- Use false or stolen identity documents.
- Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions.
- Sell, rent, or transfer an account.
- Allow another person to use an account without authorisation.
- Use another person's bank or payment information unlawfully.
- Misrepresent verification status.
3. Honest listings and representations
Every service, asset, profile, offer, quote, review, and transaction record must be accurate and not misleading.
Users must not misrepresent:
- Identity.
- Qualifications.
- Experience.
- Business registration.
- Ownership.
- Authority to sell.
- Asset condition.
- Mileage or operating hours.
- Title or lien status.
- Price.
- Availability.
- Delivery date.
- Service scope.
- Completion status.
- Inspection results.
- Reviews or ratings.
A user must correct or update information when it becomes materially inaccurate.
4. Respectful communication
Users must not:
- Threaten or intimidate another person.
- Harass or stalk another user.
- Use hate speech.
- Make discriminatory remarks.
- Make sexual or degrading comments.
- Publish private information without permission.
- Extort another user.
- Repeatedly contact someone after being asked to stop.
- Use abusive or threatening language in a dispute.
- Encourage violence or unlawful conduct.
Zexus may restrict communication features or suspend accounts where conduct creates a safety or harassment risk.
5. Discrimination
Users must not discriminate against another person on the basis of unlawful or protected characteristics.
This includes discrimination in:
- Access to services.
- Service delivery.
- Asset transactions.
- Pricing.
- Communication.
- Hiring or engagement.
- Reviews.
- Account treatment.
A user may impose legitimate service requirements where they are lawful, relevant, objectively justified, and clearly disclosed.
6. Fraud and deception
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Fake identities.
- Fake businesses.
- Fake listings.
- Fake reviews.
- Fake payments.
- Fake delivery evidence.
- Fake inspection reports.
- False completion claims.
- False refund claims.
- Payment manipulation.
- Chargeback abuse.
- Account takeover.
- Phishing.
- Identity theft.
- Document falsification.
- Concealment of material facts.
- Misrepresentation of title or ownership.
- Sale of an asset without authority.
- Use of stolen cards, bank accounts, or credentials.
Zexus may pause transactions, preserve evidence, restrict accounts, and report suspected criminal conduct to relevant authorities.
7. Payment and transaction abuse
Users must use approved payment and payout methods.
Users must not:
- Ask another user to pay outside the platform to avoid fees or protections.
- Submit false proof of payment.
- Attempt duplicate payments.
- Manipulate payment release.
- Falsely claim that work or delivery is complete.
- Initiate dishonest chargebacks.
- Use Zexus to launder money.
- Receive or transfer funds on behalf of an undisclosed third party without authorisation.
- Use the platform to evade sanctions, tax, foreign-exchange, or financial-control requirements.
8. Off-platform circumvention
Users must not use Zexus introductions, listings, communications, or contact information to move a transaction off-platform for the purpose of avoiding:
- Zexus commissions.
- Payment controls.
- Verification.
- Dispute procedures.
- Refund obligations.
- Transaction records.
- User-safety protections.
Zexus may apply warnings, recover applicable fees, restrict accounts, or terminate access for circumvention.
9. Prohibited services on ZexusPro
Users must not offer or request services that are:
- Illegal.
- Fraudulent.
- Harmful.
- Deceptive.
- Unsafe.
- Infringing.
- Designed to facilitate crime.
- Designed to evade law, regulation, tax, or professional requirements.
Restricted or prohibited categories may include:
- Unlicensed medical diagnosis or treatment.
- Unlicensed legal services.
- Unlicensed investment, lending, insurance, or financial services.
- Fraudulent academic work or impersonation.
- Examination or test cheating.
- Identity-document creation or alteration.
- Hacking, credential theft, or unauthorised access.
- Malware development or distribution.
- Money laundering or concealment of funds.
- Weapons or explosives-related services.
- Facilitation of drug trafficking.
- Sexual exploitation or trafficking.
- Services involving children that create safety risks.
- Services that facilitate harassment or surveillance.
- Counterfeit or pirated content.
- Copyright infringement.
- Sale or distribution of stolen materials.
- Dangerous work by an unqualified person.
- Services that materially endanger a client, worker, or the public.
Zexus may permit certain regulated categories only where the Pro provides satisfactory evidence of qualifications, licences, permits, insurance, and legal authority.
10. Prohibited assets on ZexusAuto
The following assets may not be listed or transacted without express approval and all required documentation:
- Stolen or suspected stolen assets.
- Counterfeit or cloned assets.
- Assets with falsified or altered VINs, chassis numbers, serial numbers, or registration details.
- Assets subject to undisclosed ownership disputes.
- Assets subject to undisclosed liens, leases, or finance interests.
- Assets the Dealer is not authorised to sell.
- Illegal or prohibited goods.
- Weapons or restricted equipment without lawful approval.
- Explosives or hazardous materials without required permits.
- Controlled substances.
- Assets subject to sanctions or unlawful trade restrictions.
- Assets with materially false descriptions.
- Assets with forged or altered ownership or import documents.
- Assets that cannot legally be transferred.
- Assets listed to conceal the identity of the true owner or beneficiary.
Zexus may require additional documents or inspection for high-risk, high-value, restricted, or unusual assets.
11. Intellectual property and confidential information
Users must not upload, use, or distribute content that infringes another person's:
- Copyright.
- Trademark.
- Patent.
- Trade secret.
- Privacy rights.
- Publicity rights.
- Confidential information.
- Other legal rights.
Users must not use another user's documents, personal information, business records, photographs, or confidential materials outside the transaction without authorisation.
12. Privacy and personal information
Users must:
- Use personal data only for legitimate transaction purposes.
- Protect information received through Zexus.
- Avoid publishing another person's personal information.
- Avoid requesting unnecessary identity or financial information.
- Delete or return information when it is no longer required, where appropriate.
- Report suspected misuse or exposure of personal data.
Users must not use Zexus to collect personal information for harassment, fraud, unauthorised marketing, surveillance, or identity theft.
13. Safety standards
Users must act reasonably to protect themselves and others.
For services performed at a home, office, worksite, or other location:
- The client must provide reasonably safe access.
- The Pro must have the competence and equipment required for the work.
- A party may stop work where there is a serious safety concern.
- Hazardous conditions should be disclosed in advance.
- Appropriate protective equipment and precautions should be used.
- Serious incidents should be reported to Zexus promptly.
For asset transactions:
- Buyers should inspect assets appropriately.
- Dealers must disclose known safety defects.
- Delivery and transport must comply with applicable requirements.
- Dangerous equipment must not be operated by unqualified persons.
- Relevant documents, warnings, permits, and safety information must be disclosed.
Zexus is not an emergency-response service. In an immediate emergency, contact the relevant emergency authority.
14. Reviews and ratings
Reviews must be based on genuine experience.
Users must not:
- Create fake reviews.
- Pay for positive reviews.
- Threaten a person to obtain a review.
- Offer benefits in exchange for a misleading review.
- Review a transaction they did not experience.
- Publish confidential information.
- Use reviews to make unlawful threats or discriminatory remarks.
- Coordinate rating manipulation.
Zexus may remove reviews, limit review access, or restrict accounts where review abuse is suspected.
15. Reporting violations
Users may report suspected violations through:

A report should include:
- Your name and account details.
- Relevant account, listing, or transaction reference.
- Description of the conduct.
- Date and time.
- Evidence, if available.

Do not knowingly submit false or malicious reports.
16. Investigations
Zexus may investigate reported or suspected violations by:
- Reviewing listings and profiles.
- Reviewing platform messages.
- Reviewing payment and transaction records.
- Requesting documents or explanations.
- Verifying identity or business information.
- Contacting affected users.
- Requesting inspection or expert evidence.
- Cooperating with payment providers, regulators, advisers, or authorities.
Zexus may limit disclosure of investigation details where necessary to protect privacy, safety, evidence, legal rights, or the integrity of the investigation.
17. Enforcement actions
Depending on the seriousness and circumstances of a violation, Zexus may:
- Issue a warning.
- Request correction of information.
- Remove or edit content.
- Remove a listing.
- Hide a profile.
- Restrict messaging.
- Require additional verification.
- Pause a transaction.
- Delay payout where permitted.
- Restrict payment features.
- Cancel a transaction.
- Require a refund or corrective action.
- Recover applicable fees or losses where permitted.
- Suspend an account temporarily.
- Permanently terminate an account.
- Refer the matter to a payment provider, regulator, law-enforcement body, or other authority.
The severity of the action may depend on:
- Actual or potential harm.
- Whether the conduct was intentional.
- Previous violations.
- Cooperation with the investigation.
- Whether the user corrected the issue.
- Risk to users, funds, assets, data, or the platform.
18. Appeals and account review
Where appropriate, a user may request review of an enforcement decision by contacting support.
A request should include:
- Account information.
- Relevant decision or transaction reference.
- Explanation of the appeal.
- Corrective action taken.
- Supporting evidence.
Zexus may uphold, modify, or reverse an action.
Some urgent actions may remain in effect while an appeal is reviewed.
19. No retaliation
Users must not retaliate against another person for:
- Making a good-faith complaint.
- Reporting suspected fraud or abuse.
- Participating in an investigation.
- Raising a legitimate dispute.
- Exercising privacy or consumer rights.
- Requesting a refund under applicable terms.
Retaliation may result in account restriction or termination.
20. Updates to this Policy
Zexus may update this Policy to reflect:
- New products or features.
- New prohibited categories.
- Safety developments.
- Legal or regulatory requirements.
- Changes in platform operations.
- Feedback from users or regulators.
The updated Policy will state its effective date.
21. Governing law and contact
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
